To answer your question on Thomas's marriage to Mary West, it appears that Mary was from the Parish of Pavenham and Thomas from the parish of Tempsford. The banns were read out in Tempsford church (Thomas's parish) on the Saturday the 20th and 27th of May and 3rd June 1798 and thus people assume they married on the 3rd June in Pavenham. They did however get married in her parish (Tempsford) on the Sunday 4th June.
