Found on 1861 census aged 33.
On Family search two parents: Richard Chilton and Mary,
Robert Chilton and Ester.
9/1/09 saw Dawley as birth place on 1871 census on line, the 1861 print out just had Shropshire. Can't see him on 1881 census but no deaths on FreeBMD between 1870 and 1881. Added christening and changed year from 1828 to 1827. Only person found on 81 census was son William.
There is another Benjamin Chilton b Dawley married to a Hannah from Staffs born 1 year before this Benjamin
1871 census living at Lichfield Rd Hodsons Row B aged45 coal miner, b Dawley. Wife Mary Ann b Pelsall Staffs 1848 not on 1881 census
