Lydgate is near Tordmorden and there are several (11) William Stansfield born around his time. Would need to check birth certificate but maybe census might show things

• 1881 Census Horton Stansfield: William Stansfield, head aged 40, born Lydgate, Yorkshire, 3 Apr 1881, 71 Princeville Street Horton in Bradford, Yorks. ¹⁷⁸²

• 1891 Census Horton Stansfield: William Stansfield, head aged 50, foreman staff dyer & grocer born Lydgate, Yorkshire, 5 Apr 1891, 71 Princeville Street Horton in Bradford, Yorks. ¹⁷⁸³

William married Emma Senior, daughter of John Senior and Mary Barwick, in Dec 1864 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. (Emma Senior was born in Dec 1839 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England.)
